Job Description / Responsibility

• Successful candidates will perform the following tasks with minimum supervision:
• Conceptualise research objectives and define research questions.
• Use appropriate and creative methodology to design and conduct research.
• Apply statistical techniques to analyze relevant information, including surveys, case studies and interviews.
• Test theories using data and interpret findings.
• Write report and policy brief.
• Disseminate results.
• Ensure that research is conducted within time and budget constraints.
• Employment type: Contractual. Contract period initially for 2 years.

Educational Requirements

• MS in Sociology, Economics, Statistics, development studies, anthropology, public health, medicine or related discipline from any reputed university with minimum two first class/ division/ CGPA 3.00 in all academic examination.
• No 3rd class/ division/ below CGPA 2.00 is acceptable.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 year(s)

Additional Job Requirements 

• Age below or equal to 45 year(s)
• Experience in research will be highly valued, but not essential.
• We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have:
• An ambition to build career in research.
• Enthusiasm to work in challenging conditions.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of statistical (e.g. STATA, SPSS) or ethnographic softwares will be considered as an advantage.
• Candidates who do not have the ambition of pursuing a career in research need not apply.
